a look back on Lent 2019

As I reflect upon this last Lenten season, I am grateful. I had thought that I would run wild purchasing things and watching shows after the 40 days ended; instead, I have found myself resisting my initial impulses and enjoying the simplicity of less mental clutter. I started asking myself questions like: "Is watching this show pleasing to God? Is this the best use of my time? Do I really need more pairs of shorts?" The answers often directed me toward what I learned through this season, ultimately pointing me back to my need for Him and His sacrifice.
