fall update

The weather here in Kansas City has changed rapidly. We received some early snowfall in the last week of October. It was strangely beautiful to see the glistening white snow on top of the brightly-colored fall foliage.

Just two years ago I was nearing my last rounds of chemotherapy for brain cancer. A couple weeks ago my doctor told me that since my MRI results haven't shown any significant changes or cause for concern since I finished chemo, I'm now able to space out my MRIs from every four months to every six months! This may not seem like a big difference, but it is another significant milestone in my recovery journey. There is a part of me that would love to see my brain back to how it used to be before the tumor/cancer, but I'm learning to be thankful for His goodness even when my circumstances aren't what I hoped or expected.
